One of the important skills an engineer of the future must possess is the critical thinking, which enables individuals to recognise real-life engineering problems, propose potential alternative solutions to the problems and solve the problems in the most effective and efficient manner. The electrical engineering degree offered by STTS equips their students with this skill, so that they can be ready to enter employments post studies. Even if they are not working in areas that are related to electrical engineering, the critical thinking is vitally important. Not only does it empower individuals to respond to imminent challenges, it also helps them find workarounds if usual ways of solving problems are not obvious. Other skills offered by STTS include interpersonal skills, allowing them to adapt to any job opportunities, workplaces and customers. Typical graduates of STTS also exhibit innovation and creativity in industry, in addition to the English language competency.
